Rare part of a large series, but the only volume dealing with the groups mentioned in the title. With fine chromolithographed plates by the famous Dutch bird painters John Gerrard Keulemans and Joseph Smit. Top of spine a bit frayed, endpapers cracked in gutters. Pictorial bookplate and stamp on front pastedown, stamp on title page verso, otherwise a very good, clean copy. Nissen IVB, 175; 838; Zimmer, pp. 95-98, 584.
