Rare with the supplement, which - a bit odd - was published before the main work (some claim that there is an 1891 first edition, but that seems to be wrong; this edition states: "copyright 1891"). The main work richly illustrated. The also well-illustreated supplement contains reports on the zoology and dealing mainly with the insects, including new Coleoptera by Henry Bates (one of his last papers - Bates died in 1892), and, for instance, a finely illustrated contribution on Reptilia and Amphibia by Boulenger.
