Important contribution to the fresh water molluscs of Celebes (Sulawesi), Indonesia with descriptions and fine illustrations of new genera and species. Bookplate of the Swiss malacologist Eugen Paravicini (1889-1945) with a Buddha figure, and library stamp on front past-down; small stamps of the German malacologists Caesar Boettger, and Herbert Ant in the top margin of the title page. Front and rear free endpaper toned; some light, mostly marginal spotting to first two plates, otherwise clean. A very good copy. Rare. Cat. BM(NH) p. 1805.
