Rare first Dutch edition. A classic Arctic narrative describing the first attempt to pass through the Northwest passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific by the British explorer and admiral Willam Edward Parry (1790-1855). It includes a new map, not present in the English edition, combining the separate routes taken by Parry and Kotzebue into one. Spine rubbed, map partly split in folds, otherwise very good, clean.
