An important series, with fine plates, accompanied with detailed descriptions. All parts are rare. The Dutch botanist Jacob Gijsbert Boerlage (1849-1900) was both editor and one of the main contributors of the Icones Bogorienses. Present are the following issues: 1(1, 3), 2(2-4), 3(1-4), and 4(1-4). These include the Plates 1-25, 51-75, and 126-400. In other words, 1(2, 4) and 2(1), including Plates 26-50 and 76-125 are lacking. There are two Plates 370, numbered 370A, and 370B. All copies clean, unmarked, near mint, as published.
