An excellent set of original Art Nouveau "posters", with a beautifully coloured graphic design featuring typical Austrian proverbs, viz. "An Gottes Segen izt alles gelegen" (a horizontal design with chestnuts; and a vertically orientated one in a "Jugendstil" border with clovers), and "In der welt ein Heim im Heim deine Welt" (also vertical, with a highly similar frame, however with differently-shaped leaves. The Viennese firm, Bier & Schöll was specialized in applied art, and active from the late 1800's until the 1920's. A set of very attractive, fine, large plates. Very rare - if not unique. One sheet with light toning, fraying and short tears at the edges; the other two with minimal fraying to the edges. Otherwise, very good, clean. Not in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.
