Original blue pictorial cloth with new blue cloth spine. Boards with bevelled edges. Later blue morocco labels with gilt title and vignette on spine. All edges gilt.

Each 5 mm larger than the previous one, and backed with original blank paper, except the first 7, which the smallest size, and no backing; all either in silver, gold, or colour-printed, and either smooth or with a different embossing. Original red-printed, embossed wrappers.
