Paris, Paul Klincksieck, 1892. 8vo (24.1 x 15.6 cm). 163 pp.; 24 lithographed plates. Later cloth, title written on the spine. Original printed wrapper bound in.
A finely illustrated monograph by the French mycologist Albert Gaillard (1858-1903) with the description and illustration of new and rarely observed species. Half title with an inscription and small repair, front wrapper brittle, text a bit browned due to the quality of paper (but not brittle). The plates are fine. Rare. We have never seen another copy. Stafleu and Cowan, 1928; not in Volbracht.
