Important contribution to the knowledge of river weeds (or riverweeds) by the great French botanist and mycologist Louis René "Edmond" Tulasne (1815-1885). The work occupies the whole of the Museum's Archives Volume 6, Parts 1-2 and this copy has the original wrappers of these combined issues. Uncut, with wide margins. Spine repaired; some light spotting, mainly to the text. In all a very good copy of this very rare work. Nissen ZBI, 4560; Pritzel, 9554; Stafleu and Cowan, 15.305.
