Halle, Trampe, 1757-1764. Folio-size loose nature printing (36.2 x 22.3 cm). Well preserved nature printing with additional hand-colouring and printed caption.

A rare, early example of nature printing of the (eastern) poison ivy of North America ( Toxicodendron radicans). A poisonous plant with many pharmaceutical uses. This print in good condition. Outer margins somewhat soiled and with light fraying and a few tiny tears. Five tiny holes on left hand side, otherwise very good. Fischer, Zweihundert Jahre Naturselbstdruck, 7; Stafleu and Cowan, 3763.
