Perhaps the last monograph on the surprisingly diverse Rumanian amphibian fauna. The drawings and photos are excellent. Contains detailed descriptions, with distribution maps, etc. Of many species, several specimens are illustrated, to show variability. Author is the Romanian herpetologist Ion Eduard Fuhn (1916-1987). Published in 800 copies, but apparently most went to Rumanian schools and institutions. Tiny stamp on title page; otherwise, a near mint copy. Rare.
