Erkrath, Rheinische Buntpapier-Fabrik, 1936. One oblong folio catalogue (9.1 x 23.0 cm). Partly removable "title" page (i.e., price list and address; 41 aluminium foil leaves. Each 5 mm larger than the previous one, and backed with original blank paper, except the first 7, which the smallest size, and no backing; all either in silver, gold, or colour-printed, and either smooth or with a different embossing. Original red-printed, embossed wrappers.

An unusual and very pleasing, elongate catalogue of aluminium or "tin" foil samples. These samples are glatt, beklebt und geprägt [smooth, reinforced (backed with a different, thicker paper), and/or embossed]. Each leaf stamped on verso with a catalogue number. The last leaf is a slightly larger, printed tab, with the item numbers of each sheet adjacent to the items, except for the first seven, which have another printed sheet containing the item numbers. In very good condition. Rare. We have not seen any similar sample book.
