Plates of the starfish or "sea-star", and brittle-stars section of the rare first edition of the large format French printing of Knorr's Delicae Naturarae Selectae oder auserlesenes Naturaliencabinet.... It is a rare, truly great and sumptuously illustrated German natural history book from the 'Golden Age' of southern German printing. The plates were drawn and engraved by Knorr himself. They are much larger than in Knorr's other works. Both plates, numbered G.I, and G.II, clean and brightly coloured. Plates G, and G.III are lacking. The descriptive text is complete. Nissen ZBI, 2227.
