A seldom seen work on - mainly - well-preserved Brachiopoda and Mollusca. Written by the Austrian palaeontologist Carl (or Karl) Diener (1862-1928). Published in the Survey's Memoirs, Series XV, as Volume 1(3). Uncut. Name of former owner written in the top margin of the front wrapper, namely the British geologist Charles Stewart Middlemiss (1859–1945), who worked in British India and the Princely States. Lacks most of the rear wrapper; some mild spotting to several text margins; otherwise, good, with clean plates.
