[Wallpaper] Henry Bosch Co.
Period and Modern Decorations. Book A.
Chicago, IL, Henry Bosch Company, 1928. Oblong folio (34.2 x 45.5 cm). Numerous full colour leaves of wallpaper, often with separate bands of matching borders. Limp boards printed in green and black.
The complete text reads Henry Bosch Co. Wall Paper Manufacturers 1928. Chicago, New York, Boston, Newark. And the front board illustration shows a sign stating "Established 1879". In front two advertisement leaves, one by a dry-paste seller, the other on flimsy paper (partly abraded in the lower left corner) by a decorating tools manufacturer. One leaf partly torn, all others in excellent condition. Other Henry Bosch wallpaper catalogues are to be found in the Historic New England Library, and the History Colorado Museum. The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art holds a copy of the firm's more theoretical work, Suggestions for Home Decoration[ primarily from the wallpaper viewpoint]. Some wear to the covers, and some minor signs of use; one border possibly deminished; otherwise, very good.
