Vouga, P.
La Tène. Monographie de la station publiée au nom de la commission des fouilles de la Tène (lac de Neuchâtel).
Leipzig, Karl W. Hiersemann, 1923. 4to (31.4 x 24.5 cm). 169 pp.; 50 plates, of which two larger, folded and one in duotone; one very large, coulored maps, and 12 text illustrations. Original decorated red cloth. Spine with gilt ornamental lines bands; front board with gilt title and embossed black vignette.
A well-illustrated archaeological work. The fine plates show an amazing variety of household and farming tools, weapons, etc. Written by the Swiss archaeologist Paul Vouga (1880-1940). Private owner's stamp of Alphonse Jeannet (most probably the Swiss geologist and palaeontologist who lived from 1883 to 1962) in the top margin of the title page; institutional stamp in the lower margin, also on the half-title. Light shelf-wear; otherwise, a very good, clean copy.
