Thesis of the Swedish medical doctor, pathologist and zoologist Nils Henrik Lovén (1801-1877), a cousin of the influential marine zoologist Sven Ludvig Lovén (1809-1895). Lovén compares the respiratory anatomy in fish, reptiles and birds. This copy, although without owner's inscription or stamp, from the library of the renowned Swedish herpetologist Richard Wahlgrén (1946-2019), who had a keen eye for herpetological rarities. Uncut.
